MUSEUM OF FLIGHTSIMULATION (MUSEUM VOOR VLUCHTSIMULATIE)
The Link Foundation manages the Flight Simulation Museum and does this with the help of numerous hobbyists on a voluntary basis.
These are (hobby) pilots who want to (continue to) fly and technicians who enjoy the underlying technology of the simulators.
We regularly receive visitors because we enjoy introducing others to flying and the world around it, but also to make our museum financially possible.
It is fun, for example for birthdays, family/company outings but also for serious flighttraining.
These are some of the reasons why people come to us.
We explain the basics of flying and let our guests fly themselves in our simulators.
From 1 to a maximum of 10 people are welcome every day between 8:30 AM and 11:00 PM, in principle from the age of 14.
All functions within our club are held on a voluntary basis.
IF THIS IS ALSO YOUR HOBBY, THEN READ ON FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
We can only practice our hobby if everyone contributes.
The technicians do this by maintaining the simulators, solving malfunctions or delighting us with yet another beautifully modernized machine.
The others who focus on flying do so during the day on Tuesdays.
To maintain our income, they receive visitors (This is not without obligation!).
Do you have experience with Microsoft Flight Simulator or X-Plane, or are you a (former) pilot or
would you like to build or expand your knowledge?
It’s all possible with us.
If this sounds like something for you, you are welcome to come and talk or give us a call.
So what are you waiting for?
Every Tuesday between approximately 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM we ‘fly’.

SIMULATOR/SOFTWARE ENGINEER
The professional simulators from KLM and NLS work with old electronics and old software.
The machines we modernized run on Microsoft and X-plane software or in combination with old professional software (see the simulator collection).
All our simulators require regular maintenance and attention in the electrical, mechanical and software areas.
This is done at fixed times, sometimes urgently to resolve malfunctions, but always in consultation.
Sometimes the machines are converted by providing them with a new (more modern) instrument panel and/or to a completely different type of aircraft.
For example, an old KLM simulator for a single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza with an analogue cockpit has been converted into one with G1000 instruments.
IF YOU WANT TO USE YOUR KNOWLEDGE AS A HOBBY, READ ON FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
We are specifically looking for software experts who can optimize the interaction between Microsoft and X-plane software and the simulators.
Think of data from a joystick to the software, or from the software to a physical instrument in the instrument panel.
Also interested in flying?
Of course our simulators are also available to you and you will be guided in this, if necessary.
A technical education and (work) experience in the electrical/electronic, mechanical engineering and/or software field would be ideal.
