Since August 2006 we own this sim, based on a Piper PA-31-350 Chieftain, twin piston-engine. We connected the instruments with Microsoft's Flight Simulator FS-X and so became a Beech 58 Baron, although the cockpit-layout is still of the Chieftain. This is the most populair simulator for the common public in the museum, also because it is a dual seated, dual engine and with a 'recent' cockpit. Also MCC is practiced, including radiotransmission with the 'Tower'.
The vision is generated by three beamers, giving a 120deg. spectacular view!
Due to the use of FS-X any weather circumstance can be generated and every airport in the world is 'in the database'. We use Tile-proxy to generate a photographical real world below. It's all amazing!
